Film cutting machine

U8 Series

Two bench machines on one cutting system. The U8-310 sits beside a repair counter; the U8-390 takes the wider film and the longer runs. Both cut tempered glass, TPU film, PET and privacy film to ±0.1 mm.

Two widths, one cutting system

Same head, same blade set, same software. The only difference is how much film the machine takes in one pass — and how much bench it asks for.

U8-310

  • Max. media width300 mm
  • Max. cutting width200 mm
  • Product size409 × 200 × 210 mm
  • Net weight7.5 kg

Counter-sized: 409 mm deep, so it sits beside a repair desk and cuts for walk-in handsets without stocking a protector for every model.

U8-390

  • Max. media width380 mm
  • Max. cutting width300 mm
  • Product size510 × 200 × 210 mm
  • Net weight8.5 kg

The wider bed takes tablet and large-format film in one pass, and leaves room to cut ahead of a busy counter instead of one handset at a time.

How it works

Cutting head

One head, four blade types

Glass, TPU film, PET and privacy film each need a different edge. The head takes all four without tools and holds blade pressure up to 1500 g — which is what keeps a 0.1 mm cut closing cleanly around a curved edge.

Workflow

Cut from the library, not from a template sheet

The device library is held in the cloud and synced to the machine over WiFi, so a new handset model arrives without a firmware swap or a physical template. The operator picks the device, loads the film, and the head follows the stored path.

Common questions

The five that come up before a first order.

What can the U8 cut?
Tempered glass, TPU film, PET and privacy film, to ±0.1 mm. The head takes four blade types without tools, because each of those materials needs a different edge.
U8-310 or U8-390?
The bed it asks for. U8-310 takes 300 mm of film and cuts 200 mm wide on a 409 mm body; U8-390 takes 380 mm and cuts 300 mm on a 510 mm body. Same head, same blade set, same software — 1 kg apart.
Where do the device outlines come from?
A cloud library, synced to the machine over WiFi. A new handset model arrives without a firmware swap or a physical template sheet: the operator picks the device, loads the film, and the head follows the stored path.
How much pressure does the head apply?
Up to 1500 g, held at ±0.1 mm over a 500 mm/s pass — which is what keeps a 0.1 mm cut closing cleanly around a curved edge.
What is the warranty?
One year. Blades fall outside it, as consumables do on any cutting machine.
